Providing Services, Assistance, and Training to Those Who Need it Most
Each year, the LECOM Visiting Nurses Association holds a butterfly release event that includes the release of hundreds of butterflies and a non-denominational service of remembrance for the loved ones of those in attendance.
This year’s Wings of Hope Butterfly Release is scheduled for Saturday, August 2, at LECOM’s Parkside Regency at South Shore, located at 322 Washington Place in Erie. Music will begin at noon, with the service following at 1 p.m. This event is free and open to anyone who wishes to attend.

The VNA believes that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. The Wings of Hope fund was created to support this initiative.
The Visiting Nurses Association of Erie County is a non-profit agency that has been providing home health and hospice services to the Erie Community since 1906. VNA programs are customized to the individual needs of the patient and family, in conjunction with the physician’s medical orders for treatment and care. VNA Home Health Care and Hospice Services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurances. Services are provided to all who qualify regardless of ability to pay. The VNA is a Medicare-certified home health agency, Medicare-certified hospice, Medicaid provider and Pennsylvania Department of Health licensed.
