The Wings of Hope fund supports Erie County Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) hospice services in a variety of ways, including supporting the terminally ill and their families, providing assistance to those who have inadequate or no health insurance, and training volunteers who offer companionship and comfort.

The VNA believes that everyone deserves access to quality health care. The Wings of Hope fund was created to support this initiative.
The VNA provides professional and compassionate skilled care to homebound patients. VNA programs are customized to the individual needs of the patient and family, in conjunction with the physician’s medical orders for treatment and care. VNA Home Health Care and Hospice Services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurances. Services are provided to all who qualify regardless of ability to pay. The VNA is a Medicare certified home health agency, Medicare certified hospice, Medicaid provider and Pennsylvania Department of Health licensed.
Winter Wings of Hope Fundraiser
The Winter Wings of Hope fundraiser is an annual fundraiser that allows participants to purchase keepsakes in remembrance of loved ones. This purchase also grants them the opportunity to have their loved ones’ names displayed on billboards for the whole month of December. All proceeds go towards the Wings of Hope fund.
Wings of Hope Butterfly Release
Every summer, the VNA hosts the Wings of Hope Butterfly Release at the LECOM campus in Erie, Pennsylvania. Butterflies can be purchased and released in remembrance of loved ones. This event is a celebration of life that allows attendees to grieve in a positive way. All proceeds go towards the Wings of Hope fund.
